We love Becky Bettesworth’s bold posters and prints of West Country resorts. Here she shares her top spots for artistic inspiration. Compiled by Natasha Goodfellow
SAUNTON SANDS, DEVON
‘This lovely stretch of golden sand is long enough (3.5 miles) to get away from the crowds and be alone. My dog Twiggy loves it too.’

RHOSNEIGR BEACH, ANGLESEY
‘An enchanting white-sand beach, ideal for collecting shells, messing about in boats and making your own fun. I love the view of Snowdon in the distance.’

HOPE COVE TO SALCOMBE, DEVON
‘Walking on coastal paths is a favourite of mine. This stretch is hilly so not only can you enjoy breathtaking views, you’re exposed to the elements. I like it best on blustery days where you can feel the energy in the atmosphere.’

BRIGHTON PIER, SUSSEX
‘Brighton Pier is a wonderful example of Victorian elegance and grandeur. It conjures a bygone era; all the associations of what going to the seaside meant back then. I love the idea of being promenaded down a pier in your finery!’

BANTHAM BEACH, DEVON
‘This is one of our favourite beaches as a family, but for me, the best part of the day is watching the sun going down behind the horizon and Burgh Island across the bay.’
