1. RUSHY PORTH, ON TRESCO IN THE SCILLY ISLES
‘On a sunny day this is the perfect monochrome landscape: white sand, dark rocky outcrops with oystercatchers resting on the tideline.’

2. PERRAN SANDS, PERRANUTHNOE
‘Great for an early morning walk at low tide when the wet sand has a glassy reflective quality and the silhouette of Cudden Point rises in the background.’

3. MAEN-DU POINT, PERRANUTHNOE
‘Vivid colours in the morning and the stunning back-lit outline of St Michael’s at sunset.’

4. PENZANCE HARBOUR
‘The urban architecture of Chapel Street leads down through the harbour into Mount’s Bay. The profile of Chapel Street on the skyline is Cornwall’s version of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile.’

5. THE HEBRIDEAN ISLAND OF COLONSAY
‘On the southern tip at low tide there is an expanse of sand called The Strand. It leads to the neighbouring island of Oransay. On a still day, this could be one of the most tranquil places in the world.’
