We’ve teamed up with the 2016 Fishing News Awards to sponsor a completely new category: the Coastal Fish Restaurant of the Year. You can nominate now. Don’t miss the deadline of 25 March
The Award Ceremony will be hosted by celebrity chef and TV presenter Simon Rimmer and will take place at the Hilton Aberdeen Treetops Hotel on 26 May 2016.
We’re looking for fish restaurants that can demonstrate a focus on locally landed fish and encourage diners to experience a variety of species, introducing more sustainable varieties. You can nominate your own restaurant, or one that you know well and love.
Here’s the criteria:
· What proportion of your menu is fish that is sourced locally and where do you purchase your stock?
· What range of fish do you serve and how has this changed over recent months/years?
· What links do you have to the local fishing industry?
· How do you promote seasonal fish?
· Do you support the fishing industry in any other ways?
