A Day Out With coast
MORNING
We will meet at Watergate Bay Hotel for coffee and pastries at 10.15 am, which we can munch on during our Clean Our Coast forum, where we will listen to inspiring stories about marine conservation and you can share your own ideas about what more can be done or projects you might be running in your area.
LUNCHTIME
Together we will enjoy a delicious lunch specifically created for us at the distinguished Watergate Bay restaurant, Zacry’s. This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people who belong to the coast community. Deep friendships have been formed and relationships blossomed at our events. You can also chat to Alex Fisher, who has edited coast for eight years now, and share your ideas and beach-cleaning activities directly with her. They may even be suitable for future features in coast.
AFTERNOON
Guided by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS), which works tirelessly to protect our marine wildlife and habitats, we will clean the beach and conduct a survey that helps the MCS lobby for government legislation to protect our oceans. As always, there are prizes for those who collect the most litter!

HOW DO I BOOK?
This is a ticketed event that must be pre-booked as there is limited seating and pre-booked lunch, coffee, tea, pastries and cake. Tickets cost £25pp for coast subscribers (please have your subscriber number to hand when booking), £29.50pp, £15 for children aged 6-15. Under 5’s are free. The ticket payment goes towards the food and drink we share at Watergate Bay on the day. There is also a goodie bag to take home worth over £20.
