As well as boasting one of the most attention-grabbing restaurants in north Norfolk (plus a bar, lounge and library to relax in) The Maltings at Weybourne is splendidly dog-friendly, writes RICHARD BRYSON.

With its inviting log burner in the Bolding Bar, dogs can stay cosy and warm during winter nights, while in summer, the outdoor piazza offers a space for them to sunbathe by the table. The first floor of The Stables is especially suited for both guests and their canine companions, featuring a small fenced garden where dogs can enjoy their own slice of paradise in Weybourne.

Go to your bedroom and furry guests can snuggle into Ralph & Co dog beds and there are Dock & Bay towels for post-swim or walk clean-ups. Dogs are allowed throughout most of The Maltings’ Big House, except for two rooms due to allergy concerns.
I suppose we better mention a few home from home comforts for the humans. The food and drink in the aforementioned Grain Store restaurant is excellent and there are lots of footpaths through the countryside or along the coastline.

Rooms at The Maltings start from £200 per night on a B&B basis for two people.
